Yes Virginia, there is a Fairy Godmother, her name is Kelly Lennon. She is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware. Although originally from New York she calls Virginia her home.
Inspired by the good work that organizations like Fairy Godmothers are doing around the country Kelly contacted founder Joyce Jesko and asked about tips for starting her own organization.
Kelly didn't know that Joyce's fondish wish, besides being in a Parade at Disney World, is to help start Fairy Godmothers in other cities. Because Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is already registered as a (IRC) Section 501(c)3 charity becoming a Fairy Godmother through us is less hassle and less paperwork.
Kelly has a BA from the University of Delaware as well as a MLIS from Long Island University CW Post. Currently she is attending Old Dominion University and is working full time. Wait there's more. She is certified to teach Pilates Mat and Equipment. She enjoys to read, hit the beach, swim, travel and will be competing in her first triathalon this year.
With the rest of her spare time she is starting a Fairy Godmothers to benefit the young ladies of the Tidewater Area of Virginia. Her first Prom Fair is already planned for April 1st & 2nd of next year at Virginia Wesleyan College.
