A Very Happy Parent

3 Buses and a mall

March 21, 2007

Dear Fairy Godmothers,

I wanted to write to say thank you to your organization. I am a single grandmother raising a pre-school age child. I recently became the foster parent to a high school senior and was totally unprepared for the expense of her senior year expenses. While watching the local news on TV I noticed a clip of your program. I quickly wrote down the contact information and went on line to research area locations. I have to admit at first I thought the possibility of my foster daughter finding a nice gown for $5 was totally unbelievable, but because my salary is stretched to the limit I knew it would be difficult for me to buy her a prom gown. On Sunday March 18th we got up early in the morning to get to the mall before it open hoping to be first in line. We took 3 buses from Delaware County to Montgomery County to what turned out to be the most productive bus ride I’d ever taken. My foster daughter found a beautiful gown for her prom and accessories to match all for $6. We were both so happy we couldn’t stop talking about your wonderful program. Your program was a life saver for us without you she may never have attended the prom.

Thank you
